There is something especially comforting about a warm apple hand pie, and even more satisfying when the pastry begins with freshly milled flour. Join us for an evening of from scratch baking where you'll learn how to create a tender, flaky pie crust and turn it into individual hand pies filled with warmly spiced apples.

We'll begin with a demonstration of milling fresh flour before making our pie crusts from scratch. You'll work hands on to prepare your own crust, then learn how to cook the apple filling and prepare the hand pies for baking. We'll finish with a baking demonstration, allowing you to see the process from freshly mixed dough to golden, delicious hand pies.

During class, you'll enjoy a sample hand pie served alongside a warm cup of chai tea. Before heading home, you'll take your freshly made pie crust along with the ingredients and instructions needed to finish your own hand pies at home.

We will have chilled water for you during the class; however, you are welcome to bring your own sip. We will have wine glasses for your beverage, should you choose to bring one. We do ask that you do not bring hard liquor.

All reservations for our classes are non-refundable, however, they are transferable to another guest. In the event you are unable to attend a class, please call the shop at your earliest convenience and provide the name you are transferring your reservation to. If you are unable to find a replacement and there is a waitlist for the class, we will do our best to fill your spot. If we are successful, we will apply your fee to a future class.
