There is something wonderfully welcoming about a pot of tea and an invitation to linger. Join Robin for the next class in our Masterclass Series, where we’ll slow down, steep a few pots, and explore what makes a lovely cup of tea and a thoughtful afternoon gathering.

We’ll brew and taste a selection of teas side by side, exploring the differences between black, green, white, and oolong teas, along with herbal infusions. Along the way, Robin will discuss water temperature, steeping time, measuring loose-leaf tea, and choosing brewing tools that make preparing tea at home simple and enjoyable. You’ll discover how small changes can bring out different flavors and help you avoid a cup that tastes weak or bitter.

And because tea is even lovelier when shared, we’ll also explore the tradition of afternoon tea, from a little of its history to setting the table, choosing accompaniments, and serving your guests with ease. Robin will share approachable ideas for creating a welcoming tea table, whether you’re inviting one friend over or gathering a few around the table.

Throughout the class, we’ll connect the practical details of brewing with the heart of hospitality: helping people feel comfortable, cared for, and glad they came.

All reservations for our classes are non-refundable, however, they are transferable to another guest. In the event you are unable to attend a class, please call the shop at your earliest convenience and provide the name you are transferring your reservation to. If you are unable to find a replacement and there is a waitlist for the class, we will do our best to fill your spot. If we are successful, we will apply your fee to a future class.
